Everybody got what they wanted with this knock down rebuild design from Longridge Homes.

Finding harmony in a house shared with a teenager can be a challenging experience.

Grant Travers, wife Tiffany, and daughter Olivia have found the answer.

The layout of the home has the two minor bedrooms one side of the design next to the main bathroom. A teenager's media area was transformed to create large cupboard storage space.

"Olivia loves the lay out of the home," Grant says. "If she has friends over they can have their own space in that wing."

During the building phase the family installed wireless internet in the home. "It is very handy because we can all be accessing the internet at the same time if needed," Grant says.

The floor plan is designed in a H pattern. The large, central formal lounge is located directly in front of the entry with the hallway spilling around either side. The main bedroom is at the front set behind a large picture window and includes an ensuite with twin vanities as well as a built-in wardrobe. A study is next to the main suite opposite the laundry with outdoor access .

With three Italian greyhounds as pets, the Travers chose to tile a majority of the home. "It is just so much easy to sweep, mop or vacuum over tiles," Grant says.

When it came to the colours and interior selections Tiffany took over.

"We wanted a contemporary look inside and Tiffany chose the colours for the tile, paint and furniture," Grants says.

"We changed some minor things inside such as relocating some doorways but overall it was just what we wanted."

The kitchen with island bench, overhead cupboards, essa stone benchtops and dropped ceiling overlooks dining area with the living off to the side. An expanse of glass in the corner allows natural light to flood into this area of the home. An stunning outdoor entertaining area is accessed via sliding glass doors from the central, formal lounge.
